Where is Trump this week? Campaigning in these states as DNC kicks off convention.
Former President Donald Trump is hitting the campaign trail in several battleground states this week, although the spotlight is currently on his rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, as she prepares to accept the nomination from the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
On Monday, the former president spoke to a crowd of supporters on a factory floor in the working-class city of York, Pennsylvania, and vowed to end rules created by the Environmental Protection Agency that would limit air and water pollution from power plants.
"It's a disaster for our country," Trump said. "Instead of shutting down power plants, we will open dozens and dozens more, and they'll happen fast."
The Republican presidential candidate and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, are expected to attend a whirlwind series of campaign events in Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia. His final rallies will take place in Arizona, focusing on immigration and the economy—two of Trump's signature policies.
Pennsylvania has emerged as one of the most important states in the presidential election, with Harris and Trump effectively neck-and-neck, according to most opinion polls.
