Social media, most of it anyway, has heartwarming responses to Gus Walz's joy about his dad
When Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz addressed the nation at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night, he took some time to also address his family.
"Hope, Gus and Gwen, you are my entire world," Walz said. "And I love you."
Tears streamed down Gus' face as he stood up, pointed at his father and appeared to repeat, "That's my dad!" Afterward, the national spotlight settled on the 17-year-old Gus as X users posted heartwarming responses to the emotional moment.

The youngest member of the Walz family, Gus will enter his senior year of high school this fall. Earlier this month, Tim and Gwen said he has a "non-verbal learning disorder," ADHD and an anxiety disorder.
"What became so immediately clear to us was that Gus’ condition is not a setback — it’s his secret power," the couple told People magazine.
While some people mocked Gus' burst of emotion, many others defended and voiced their support for Gus, calling the moment "absolutely beautiful," "precious" and "the biggest highlight" of the DNC.
One of his highest-profile supporters was former first lady Michelle Obama, who said she "was touched to see Gus Walz’s joy" at the convention.
