Nevada early voting: Where to vote or drop off your ballot for 2024 election

Saturday is the start of in-person early voting in Nevada.

If you've received a mail-in ballot, it’s OK to have mailed it in before then. But Saturday is when vote centers open where you can cast your ballot on a machine in person. You can also hand-deliver your mail-in ballot if you don’t feel comfortable entrusting it to the U.S. Postal Service.

Early voting lasts through Nov. 1. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Where to find voting and ballot drop-off locations in Nevada

Nevada allows you to cast a ballot at any vote center in the county where you’re registered to vote. You do not have to vote at a specified precinct location.

  • If you're in Washoe County, you can find a map with vote centers, ballot drop boxes and what the estimated wait time is at each location on the county's website.
  • If you’re registered in a county other than Washoe, the secretary of state’s website includes links to every county’s vote centers.

There will be more vote center locations on Election Day.

How to vote with same-day registration in Nevada

If you’re not registered to vote, Nevada allows you to register in person on the same day you cast your ballot.

You will need to provide a government-issued ID and cast a provisional ballot that won’t be counted until it’s verified that you meet the requirements of voter registration.

If your ID doesn’t show your current address, you will need to present valid proof of residence. The following can be used as proof of residence:

  • Military identification card
  • Utility bill, including, without limitation, a bill for electric, gas, oil, water, sewer, septic, telephone, cellular telephone or cable television service
  • Bank or credit union statement
  • Paycheck
  • Income tax return
  • Statement concerning the mortgage, rental or lease of a residence
  • Motor vehicle registration
  • Property tax statement
  • Tribal identification card
  • Any other document issued by a governmental agency
