President Joe Biden to deliver primetime farewell address from Oval Office

WASHINGTON ― President Joe Biden is set to give a farewell primetime address to the nation next Wednesday night, days before his one term in office ends and President-elect Donald Trump moves into the White House.
The Oval Office address is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president on Jan. 20.
Biden, 82, pushed through major pieces of legislation to unleash historic infrastructure spending, a resurgence of clean-energy factories and investments in the microchip industry to catch up to China, while also renewing ties with the country's international allies.
Yet Biden battled through low approval ratings and was blamed for inflation despite other strong economic metrics. He was also also unable to prevent the political comeback of Trump, who he repeatedly warned was a threat to U.S. democracy and a poor debate performance led to his exit from the 2024 race.
