Watch out for Bambi! Joni Ernst campaign RV hits deer

Memo to Republicans traveling with the Joni Ernst campaign: Be careful on those Iowa roads!

An RV carrying GOP Senate nominee Ernst, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and their aides hit a deer on Wednesday. Ernst campaign spokeswoman Gretchen Hamel said no one in the vehicle was injured, reportsThe Des Moines Register. No word on condition of the animal.

McCain, ever the cutup, reportedly joked Ernst was trying to kill him.

There must be something about Iowa roads and deer. Remember when Sen. Chuck Grassley tweeted about his accidental run-in with a four-legged creature?
