Watch: Michele Bachmann and her incredible rap of 'Thrift Shop'
Rep. Michele Bachmann wears thrift shop clothes?
With apologies to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, the Minnesota Republican attests to her frugality by rapping (and totally cracking up) to Thrift Shop, the hip-hop duo's hit song.
As promised by the staffer recording Bachmann, the video is being posted as the Tea Party favorite and 2012 GOP presidential candidate gets ready to depart from Congress. It's part of a fun listicle for BuzzFeed detailing the 16 things Bachmann will miss when her fourth term is up in January.
The Thrift Shop video is listed as No. 4 on the Bachmann list under the header, "Speech prep with my staff."
The photos are a fun, including this one of Bachmann puffing on a cigar (to represent how she'll miss "smoke-filled rooms," or No. 16 on the list) and snaps of her running into Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight and reality TV stars Bill Klein and Jennifer Arnold from The Little Couple (No. 12 on Bachmann's list.)
Klein and Arnold adopted a son last year. During her congressional tenure, Bachmann has supported legislation on adoption and foster care after having cared for 23 foster care children.
Don't miss the picture of Bachmann shaking hands with Vice President Biden (No. 5) because the congresswoman says she'll miss "access to some of the greatest minds."
And the No. 1 thing Bachmann will miss when she departs? That's an easy one: representing the people of Minnesota's 6th Congressional District in the Twin Cities suburbs.
