George W. Bush: Jeb would beat 'sister-in-law' Hillary Clinton

George W. Bush has joked that his family's close relationship with Bill Clinton makes the Democrat his "brother from another mother."

So what does that make Hillary Rodham Clinton?

"My sister-in-law," the 43rd president joked with CNN's Candy Crowley.

In the CNN interview, Bush said Hillary Clinton would be a formidable presidential candidate in 2016. But Bush believes his brother, Jeb, would be even more impressive -- and would win a head-to-head matchup against the former secretary of State.

"Yeah, he'd beat her," Bush said.

Although Bush said he'd "absolutely" bet on his brother, early presidential polls show Clinton would have the advantage. She was leading the former Florida governor by 5 percentage points in a Quinnipiac Poll released last week.

Jeb Bush said recently he'll make a decision about seeking the White House "in short order." Clinton reportedly will make her intentions known in January.
