Poll: Lindsey Graham lacks home-state support for 2016 bid
If Sen. Lindsey Graham is going to make a serious run for the presidency, he'll have to do some serious work at home.
Six in 10 residents in Graham's home state of South Carolina say the Republican senator should not seek the presidency, according to a new poll from Winthrop University.
The Winthrop Poll also says that nearly two-thirds of registered South Carolina voters oppose a Graham presidential run.
And Graham's approval ratings aren't all great in the Winthrop Poll. His overall approval rating stands at 45.5% among all poll respondents, though it is 60.3% among Republicans and GOP leaners.
South Carolina will hold one of the early primaries in the 2016 Republican nomination race.
