Bush, Carson top tight GOP field in new Fox poll

Another poll, another sign of how bunched the Republican presidential field is at this stage of the game.

And a good sign for Ben Carson.

A new Fox News poll shows the retired neurosurgeon tied for first with former Florida governor Jeb Bush when poll respondents were asked whom they would like to see as the GOP presidential nominee, though each has only 13% support.

Scott Walker, the governor of Wisconsin, was close behind at 11%. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee was fourth at 10%. The rest of the field -- and Fox listed 16 candidates -- is in single digits. ("Don't know" registered 10%, by the way.)

The poll of 1,006 registered voters was conducted May 9-12 and had a 3-point margin of error.
