Bush releases announcement-eve video

MIAMI -- Jeb Bush previewed his formal 2016 presidential campaign announcement Sunday with a Web video casting himself as a problem solver during his two terms as Florida governor.

"What we need is new leadership that takes conservative principles and applies them so that people can rise up," Bush says in the video. "America's best days are in front of us, and we are going to lead the world."

Bush, who has been "exploring" a presidential race throughout the year, is expected to formally declare his candidacy during a speech Monday in Miami.

The video -- titled "Making A Difference" -- features four Floridians singing the praises of their former governor.

"I think Gov. Bush changed a lot of lives in Florida," said Kim Donatelle of Sarasota, Fla. "I am very grateful that he was our governor."

Bush, who will face more than a dozen other Republicans for the 2016 nomination, also appears to take a poke at some of his opponents in the video, saying leadership is "not just about yapping about things."

Says Bush: "There are a lot of people talking, and they’re pretty good at it. We need to start fixing things."
