Christie launches website ahead of announcement
Chris Christie launched a campaign website Saturday ahead of an announcement early next week about his plans for the 2016 presidential campaign.
Multiple news organizations reported this week that the New Jersey governor is set to announce his decision during an event at Livingston High School in New Jersey, which he attended and was class president.
Earlier Saturday, Christie tweeted a link to the site, which as yet has little content but does include an area where supporters are encouraged to sign up .
The website says that it is paid for by Chris Christie for President, Inc.
CNN reported that Christie supporters were sent an invitation Friday to attend Tuesday's "presidential launch announcement and call day," making it fairly clear the governor is planning to become the 14th Republican to join the GOP race.
