Macy's cuts ties with Donald Trump ties
Donald Trump's presidential campaign is already making problems for his other business ventures, as Macy's announced Wednesday that it will stop selling Trump branded menswear.
In a statement to CNN, the retail giant said "We are disappointed and distressed by recent remarks about immigrants from Mexico . . . In light of statements made by Donald Trump, we have decided to discontinue our business relationship with Mr. Trump and will phase-out the Trump menswear collection, which has been sold at Macy's since 2004."
The collection includes a range of dress shirts, suits, ties and other accessories.
In his June 16 announcement that he is running for president, Trump said people coming into the United States from Mexico “are bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
On Monday, NBC announced it was dropping Trump's reality TV program, The Apprentice.
