Trump fires back at Perry in war of old tweets
Real estate mogul and presidential contender Donald Trump fired another shot at former Texas governor Rick Perry on Wednesday, posting an old photo of the two shaking hands. Trump said the photo proves Perry is a "hypocrite," because Perry at the time was seeking Trump's support.
Perry has been vocal in his criticism of Trump's stream of incendiary comments. In response, Trump has mocked Perry, suggesting the Texan started wearing glasses just to look smarter.
Perry's campaign began retweeting old Trump tweets on Tuesday that were laudatory of Perry.
Perry's camp also produced a video Wednesday of Trump's prior statements supporting him.
Also Tuesday, Trump was feuding with Sen. Lindsey Graham, sharing Graham's private cellphone number with a crowd of supporters and urging them to call.
On Fox News Wednesday, Trump said he had no regrets about that stunt. "I did it for fun, everybody had a good time. We had a packed house," Trump said. “I don’t regret it. It seems to have gotten a lot of press but I don’t regret it at all. He calls me names you have to fight back.”
