Bush: The new 'Supergirl' is 'pretty hot'

Jeb Bush is giving a thumbs-up to the prospects of a new fall television show, Supergirl, and to the looks of the title character.

"I saw it when I was working out this morning," Bush said Wednesday during an appearance in Las Vegas. "She looked kinda ... she looked pretty hot. I don't know which channel it's on, but I'm looking forward to that."

He added: "That'll make news." (True.)

Supergirl, staring former Glee actress Melissa Benoist, is one of the new offerings from CBS.

The  topic surfaced when someone asked the Republican presidential candidate his favorite superhero.

Bush said he likes "old school guys" like Batman, though the Caped Crusader is "a little dark these days."
