Ad backing Fiorina stresses her 'outsider' status

The super PAC backing businesswoman-turned-Republican-presidential-candidate Carly Fiorina is stressing her status as a political outsider in new television and radio ads launched Friday.

After a series of pictures spotlighting the years in office served by some of her GOP opponents, the narrator of the television ad says Fiorina is "a conservative outsider who has a bold new blueprint to take our country back," as well as "a conservative leader we can trust."

Fiorina has argued that current and previous office holders, including Republicans, have failed the country. But she continues to languish in Republican polls, far behind another  self-proclaimed outsider, businessman Donald Trump.

The super PAC said it will run the television and radio ads over the next week on stations in New Hampshire and Boston, with a television buy of $846,750 and a radio buy of $177,747.

"Carly remains among the least well-known candidates in the field," the group said in a statement, and the ads are part of "a new phase of a sustained effort by CARLY for America to introduce Fiorina to voters. CARLY for America continues to focus on the ground game. We have staff on the ground in 12 states and leadership teams in 23 states."
