Trump continues jabs at media
Donald Trump may be the presumptive GOP nominee, but that doesn't mean he's any happier about his press coverage.
On Thursday, he reacted to a CNN discussion of his views on foreign policy, a segment that included a graphic fact-checking a Trump statement about Japan acquiring nuclear weapons.
Trump’s attack on CNN comes just two days after a tense press news conference where he attacked reporters for pressuring him to release the names of the veterans organizations he had donated money to.
As for the statement CNN fact checked, in an interview with The New York Times in March, Trump said, "I think maybe it’s not so bad to have Japan — if Japan had that nuclear threat, I’m not sure that would be a bad thing for us."
The New York Times reporter attempted to clarify by asking if North Korea's aggression made it so that Japan needed to have its own weapons so as not to rely on the U.S.
"I really believe that’s true. Especially because of the threat of North Korea. And they are very aggressive toward Japan," Trump said.
