Clinton on NYC MetroCard swipe tips: 'Helpful'

Hillary Clinton might just be able to make it through the subway turnstile in one try — maybe.

On Friday, Clinton retweeted a New York Times article with some very crucial information: the exact perfect speed of a MetroCard swipe. According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the sweet spot is “a speed of 10-40 inches per second (i.p.s.) is the valid range for MetroCard acceptance."

Clinton could use the insight: The former New York senator had some trouble getting through when she was campaigning in New York in April.

But her competitor Bernie Sanders — who grew up in Brooklyn — also wasn’t doing so hot with subway knowledge himself.

He said that you used tokens to board the subway, which hasn’t been the case since 2003.
