'The Simpsons' weigh in on the election

What would a presidency under Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton look like? The Simpsons offered their unique perspective in a clip posted on YouTube.

The scenario that the long-running TV series depicts plays off a Clinton ad from 2008 about who Americans would want receiving a 3 a.m. phone call.

It starts out with an early-morning call in a Clinton White House. Former president Bill Clinton answers the phone before realizing the call is actually for his wife. Hillary Clinton takes the phone and snaps “yes, from now on, it’s always for me.”

The video then switches to a Trump administration.

Trump is sitting in bed tweeting about Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., (the two frequently engage in Twitter spats) with a book on Adolf Hitler’s speeches on his bed.

Trump ignores a call from the Situation Room and gets on the phone to request “my name on the Lincoln Memorial, make Chris Christie eat a worm just for laughs, disband NATO and make me some scrambled eggs in a gold plate.”

When he does answer the second call from the Situation Room, he says he’ll “be right there.” But first a glam squad comes in to make him up.

Hours pass as Trump receives a spray tan, botox, has larger hands put on and puts a dog on his bald head to act as hair.

He finally gets a call that it’s too late and the Chinese fleet is advancing, then calls for a wall to be built in the ocean.
