Clinton 9 points ahead in New Hampshire poll


Hillary Clinton is enjoying a comfortable lead over Donald Trump in New Hampshire, according to a new Monmouth University poll released Wednesday.

Clinton had the support of 47% of likely New Hampshire voters to Trump's 38%. Libertarian Gary Johnson had 10% support and Green Party candidate Jill Stein had 1% in the poll conducted Sept. 17-20.

Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan is not far behind  Republican Kelly Ayotte’s in the race for Ayotte's Senate seat. Ayotte is just 2 points ahead, which is within the margin of error (47%-45%.) Libertarian Brian Chabot had 2% support.

The margin of error is 4.9 points in the poll of 400 likely New Hampshire voters.
