Melania Trump to address campaign rally Thursday
Melania Trump is hitting the trail.
On Thursday, Donald Trump’s wife will host an event inBerwyn, Pa. focused on women and children.
“Melania Trump will also speak about her real American story as well as the kind of dedicated, strong and committed First Lady she will be for the country she loves so much,” a release from the Trump campaign says.
Last week, Melania Trump participated in a joint interview with her husband for ABC, and the Republican nominee seemed to surprise his wife with the announcement she’d be giving a couple of speeches before Election Day.
“I might join him; we will see,” Melania Trump said about hitting the trail with her husband.
"She’s actually going to make two or three speeches,” Donald Trump said.
“Oh,” Melania Trump interjected.
“Well, it is. It’s, she’s amazing when she speaks,” Donald Trump continued. “She’s an amazing public speaker so she’s agreed to do two or three speeches, and I think it’s going to be — big speeches, important speeches — and I think it’s gonna be great.”
She has largely stayed out of the spotlight after it was discovered that part of her speech given at this year's Republican National Convention had been plagiarized from Michelle Obama.
Pennsylvania is an important battleground in the path to Nov. 8 victory. Hillary Clinton has maintained a lead in the state but on Wednesday, multiple polls showed the race narrowing.
