Bizarre viral Trump and Clinton moments from the 2016 Election

This election season has gone way beyond typical political banter. President Barack Obama recently likened it to a reality show: Love and Hip Hop stuff.

Between the release of a 2005 Access Hollywood tape and WikiLeaks emails, some might say Election 2016 is more about saving face than cut-and-dry policies.

Here are a few memorable ways Clinton and Trump filled our newsfeeds this season:

Jimmy Fallon ruffles Trump’s hair

Wochit

There was just something about watching The Tonight Show host messing up Trump's famous mane that intrigued people. Some might have watched the Sept. 15 episode on repeat to double check the hair was real. Others, were upset Fallon acted playful with the presidential candidate.

Clinton's mid-debate shimmy

Trump's aggressive debate behavior took center stage for most of the election season, but Clinton had her moments. In the first presidential debate Sept. 26, Trump said "I have much better judgment than she has. There's no question about that. I also have a much better temperament than she does." When Clinton had the floor, she said "Whoo! OK!" and shook it out.

Viewers face-swapping candidates on Snapchat

Who won the first presidential debate? Snapchat. A face swap revealing Clinton with Trump hair was just too hard not to pass up. Voice changers, twinning animals and silly faces let people express their views in a totally new way this year.

Bigly

Even though Trump was saying "big league," his pronunciation had everyone consulting Dictionary.com on the word "bigly," which is a real word.

#Clintonfly

Debate viewers are easily distracted. When a fly landed on Clinton's face during the second presidential debate, #ClintonFly took off.

'Bad hombres'

In the final presidential debate, Trump talked about his stance on immigration: "We have some bad hombres here, and we're going to get them out." Merriam-Webster then reported a spike for both "ombre" and "hombre." And, memes were born.
