Sean Spicer's fashion mishap: An upside-down flag pin

Friday was shaping up to be a quiet news day. And then the unthinkable happened: Sean Spicer appeared before the press corps wearing an upside-down flag pin.
The reporters were quick to point it out the second they had a chance.
"Your pin's upside down," John Roberts of Fox News said.
"John Roberts, always helping me with the fashion tips," the White House press secretary replied.
"It's still upside down," someone else chimed in.
"Are you under a distress call or something?" another asked.
Spicer glanced down, fixed it, smiled and said, "Oh, I'm sorry, thank you, I appreciate that."
An upside-down flag is part of the official logo for the show House of Cards. It also could be a sign of distress. Twitter users pointed out both of those things quickly:
