Hillary Clinton suggests President Trump read her new picture book

Unsurprisingly, President Trump doesn't love Hillary Clinton's new memoir, What Happened.

"Crooked Hillary Clinton blames everybody (and every thing) but herself for her election loss!" the president tweeted Wednesday night.

Clinton had an idea, though: If the memoir wasn't appealing to him, maybe her new picture book, It Takes A Village, was more his thing.

"If you didn't like that book, try this one — some good lessons in here about working together to solve problems," she replied Thursday morning. "Happy to send a copy."

It Takes A Village was also released this week. Using the title of her 1996 book about Clinton's vision for the children of America, the picture book is meant for a young audience.

"It Takes a Village tells the heartwarming and universal story of a diverse community coming together to make a difference," publisher Simon & Schuster says of the book on its site. " All kinds of people working together, playing together, and living together in harmony makes a better village and many villages coming together can make a better world. Together we can build a better life for one another. Together we can change our world."
