James Comey is living his best life, and there are tweets to show it.

Here's a photo of the former FBI director on an Iowa road:

Comey has never actually said the account is his. But given that he's in Monday's photo and this confirmation from Comey friend and Brooking Institute fellow Benjamin Wittes, we think it's safe to assume that it's a given. (Plus, as other news outlets have noted, the theologian Niebuhr was a subject of Comey's college thesis.)

Also posted this weekend: a photo of pelicans.

And some corn:

Why was he in Iowa in the first place? His wife, Patricia Failor, is from Iowa, and her father, Ed Failor Sr., celebrated his 90th birthday over the weekend.

He also recently posted photos from West Point, N.Y., and Gettysburg, Pa.

These photos are the first activity on Comey's Twitter account since he was abruptly fired by President Trump back in May.

Prior to that, he had only posted once before: a link to FBI jobs accompanied by an Anchorman meme.

His first tweet came on the same day that Gizmodo broke a story about the account's existence
