comScore data shows NETWORK growth in digital audience


Per comScore’s June data, the Paste BN NETWORK, now comprising 109 local sites (but 106 at time of comScore report), has once again proved to be a fierce leader in the digital media landscape, with 107.4MM unique visitors last month for all NETWORK sites. This is a 3.4MM increase from May 2016.

Most significantly, USATODAY.com alone reached a record-breaking 64.4MM multi-platform unique visitors, which is a 31.8% increase from June 2015. With the NETWORK’s aggressive mobile-first approach taken by the newsroom and in developing digital products, the monthly mobile visitors to USATODAY.com also surpassed records by reaching 49.3MM in June, a whopping 47.2% jump from the same month in 2015.

The comScore data also reflects that while the USATODAY.com audience of all age demographics grew, the most notable surges appeared in the Gen X and the millennial age groups. Millennials age 18-34, saw a 30% boost from last year. Gen X also increased 47% from the previous year. In summary, 61% of USATODAY.com’s audience for the month of June is under the age of 45.

Paste BN Sites, which includes USATODAY.com, Paste BN Sports Media Group & Paste BN Travel sites, were up 24% year-over-year. The increased readership of several content sections contributed to this growth, including Tech (+108%), News (+65%), and Money (+28%).
