Paste BN NETWORK hosts live election night party
For the first time, the Paste BN NETWORK invites readers to join us as we cover election night live from our headquarters in McLean, Va. on Nov. 8th from 7–10 p.m. ET.
And the first 75 RSVPs will join us free: electionparty2016.usatoday.com.
Along with the newsroom’s comprehensive coverage and a Facebook Live broadcast anchored by Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page in Virginia and updates from NETWORK newsrooms around the country, party-goers will get live results throughout the evening as polls start to close.
We’ll have food, drink, music, a virtual reality activation, red carpet experience and more as guests await results and updates.
Page will also join the party for an exclusive one-on-one interview about election 2016, followed by a panel chat with Paste BN NETWORK Chief Content Officer Joanne Lipman, Community News VP Randy Lovely and West Coast editor Amalie Nash — formerly editor of the Des Moines Register during last year’s caucus season.
Plus:
- We’ll challenge guests to a game of political trivia, with prizes going to the most plugged in political aficionados.
- A special performance from D.C.-based ska/soul ensemble The Pietasters.
- Election-themed cocktails, including the Clintonic and Gin and the Mai Tai Interrupt You.
The party is part of the TurboVote Challenge Party at the Polls series of events, designed to encourage voter participation across the country. The Paste BN NETWORK is also co-sponsoring the Parade at the Polls in Chicago featuring Chance the Rapper.
