Paste BN NETWORK Sets New Record with 123M Unique Visitors in August

Paste BN NETWORK reached a record-high 123M unique visitors for the month of August, a 10 percent month-over-month increase. According to the August 2017 comScore Media Metrix, the NETWORK’s digital reach surpassed Yahoo-ABC News Network for the #2 spot in News/Information category by adding 11M unique visitors, driven largely by big news items such as the Solar Eclipse, Hurricane Harvey and unique content such as the exclusive Secret Service story.

In August 2016, the NETWORK hit a record number of unique visitors, largely in part to its extensive Olympics coverage. This makes the NETWORK’s record-breaking August 2017 quite notable, as it experienced a 3.4 percent increase year-over-year.

Paste BN sites were the biggest contributor to August growth, adding roughly 13M unique visitors between July & August – a 15 percent increase. Paste BN News and Weather saw the largest increases from month-to-month, adding 4M and 3.5M uniques respectively. Paste BN Sports Media Group also added to this growth with a 10 percent increase from July.

The NETWORK’s local sites show a strong 24 percent growth year-over-year, as well as a 14 percent increase month-to-month. The Courier-Journal had the largest year-to-year growth amongst our properties, clocking in at a whopping 317 percent increase, followed closely by The Desert Sun (272 percent increase) and the York Daily Record (257 percent increase).

With the launch of “The Wall” and other unique enterprise projects in the pipeline, the NETWORK continues to anticipate strong numbers moving forward.
