Texas attorney to represent over 100 victims in new lawsuits against Sean 'Diddy' Combs

In a news conference Tuesday, attorneys revealed their plans to file lawsuits on behalf of over 100 individuals alleging sexual abuse by Sean “Diddy” Combs and his associates.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, alongside sexual abuse victim advocates and co-counsel Andrew Van Arsdale of AVA Law Group, said many of the alleged victims have already communicated with law enforcement, including the FBI.
Here is what was said during the conference.
Houston attorney Tony Buzbee speaks on Diddy accusers
Buzbee shared that Combs is set to face lawsuits from 120 accusers for allegations of sexual abuse and sexual assault.
"This group of brave individuals include both men and women; many were minors when the abuse occurred. Some of these brave individuals reported the incidents to the police, others did not," Buzbee wrote.
The allegations involve incidents of rape, sexual assault, and exploitation occurring at private homes, hotels, and infamous events referred to as "freak off" parties.
"We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors," Buzbee said. "We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates. It's a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make sure damn sure we are right before we do that. These names will shock you."
Tony Buzbee's career: Deshaun Watson, Chris Brown, Rick Perry and Texas AG Ken Paxton
Buzbee's Texas law firm has represented victims in high-profile cases, including:
- Buzzbee is representing four plaintiffs in a lawsuit against R&B singer Chris Brown, who accused Brown and other members of his crew of severely assaulting them after a concert at Dickies Arena on July 19. The plaintiffs, represented by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, seek $50 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
- Buzbee represented 22 women who sued Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson during his time in Houston and accused him of sexual misconduct during massage sessions from early 2020 to March 2021. Ultimately, Buzbee's side prevailed, and settlements were reached with nearly all the plaintiffs.
- A Travis County grand jury in 2014 indicted Rick Perry toward the end of his final term as Texas governor over accusations that he abused the power of his office. Perry pleaded not guilty, and his indictment was dismissed after he had already left the governor's office. Buzbee was the lead lawyer on Perry's defense team.
- Attorney General Ken Paxton was tried in September 2023 on 16 impeachment counts related to bribery and misuse of office. He was suspended in May last year when the Texas House voted overwhelmingly to advance the case to the Senate. After a two-week trial, state senators serving as jurors acquitted Paxton. Buzbee was part of Paxton's defense team.
