Suspected tornadoes in Texas cause destruction: Watch videos as storms hit South

Suspected tornadoes were spotted and caught on videos in Texas as storms battered parts of the South Saturday.

A tornado is believed to have killed at least one person and left four people injured in Brazoria County, Dan Davis, mayor of Manvel, Texas, told Paste BN via email.

Multiple homes were destroyed between Alvin and Liverpool, Texas, when a possible tornado went through the area Saturday afternoon, according to preliminary reports cited by the Storm Prediction Center.

In Montgomery County, mobile homes were damaged, and a roof was ripped off a home. In Chambers County, a car was thrown by a tornado near Smith Point, potentially causing injuries − according to preliminary reports.

Millions remain under tornado watches and warnings through 9 p.m. CT Saturday, and earlier in the day, the National Weather Service issued a rare "particularly dangerous situation" alert.
