Winter storms: From sledding to shoveling, see photos of snow across the US

A massive winter storm is currently rolling through the Midwest and East Coast, with heavy snow and ice leaving thousands without power on Monday.
Tens of millions of Americans were under winter storm advisories as the winter storm stretched from Kansas to Washington D.C. AccuWeather chief meteorologist Jonathan Porter warned that snow could fall at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour in some areas.
Washington D.C. has been expected to receive 6 to 12 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. In areas of Ohio, 15 inches of snow have been reported with scores of Ohio school districts shuttered on Monday.
Other areas have seen staggering figures, with central New York recording preliminary 24-hour snow totals of about 5 feet.
As snow and ice has blanketed large swaths of the United States on Monday, pictures from across the United States show how different regions have dealt with the extreme conditions.
