Severe weather involving tornadoes, storms leaves behind damage in US: See photos

At least 37 people were reported dead over the weekend after storms and tornadoes wreaked havoc across multiple states.

Reports of deaths related to the storm began on Friday, and dozens more were confirmed through the weekend, according to the Nationa Weather Service.

Deaths were reported in the following states:

  • Kansas
  • Oklahoma
  • Mississippi
  • Arkansas
  • Texas
  • Alabama
  • Missouri

A severe storm threat remained on Sunday from Florida to Ohio Valley, and over 60 million people were at risk, according to the Storm Prediction Center.

On Sunday, 337,000 power outages were reported nationwide, according to Paste BN's outage tracker. As of Monday morning, power is slowly being restored across the U.S., and the number nationwide now stands at 173,116,766.

According to the Storm Prediction Center, there were 75 tornadoes logged.
