Rare snowstorm blankets Jerusalem, Israeli desert
Jerusalem residents were greeted with a rare snowfall Friday when a storm dumped 10 inches on the city.
The flakes are part of a system spreading throughout the Middle East, bringing snow to parts of the West Bank, the Israeli desert towns of Beersheba, Dimona and Yerucham, as well as Lebanon and the Jordanian capital of Amman.
Four more inches of snow are expected in Jerusalem later Friday. Historically, the city sees an average of just four inches a year, McClatchy reported.
