British newspapers on election aftermath

Prime Minister David Cameron's Conservative Party was on course to win a majority in Britain's general election Friday, according to forecasts.

After more than half the votes were counted, the BBC predicted the Conservatives would win 329 seats — enough to form a narrow majority. The Labour Party was forecast to come in with the second-most seats at 233.

A majority is won if a party reaches 326 seats, more than half the 650 in the House of Commons.
