Berlin prosecutors: Al-Jazeera journalist has been freed

BERLIN (AP) — A spokesman for Berlin prosecutors says the Al-Jazeera journalist who was detained in Germany on an Egyptian arrest warrant has been released from custody.

Stefan Stoehr said the prosecutors' office released Ahmed Mansour from custody on Monday.

Stoehr said "he is free," but could not immediately provide any more details.

He said that his office would be releasing a statement soon.
