Bodies of dead babies found in German town

BERLIN — The bodies of seven dead babies were found in a home in a small town in southern Germany, local media reported Friday.
The grim discovery took place during a visit by emergency services to a house in Wallenfels in Bavaria, the DPA news agency said.
The incident has triggered a major police investigation and authorities want to question a woman, 45, in connection with the incident.
"She is being primarily sought as potentially the mother of the children," police in the region of Oberfranken said, according to DPA.
Police did not indicate whether the woman, who lives in the building where the infants were found, was a suspect.
It was not immediately clear how long the babies had been at the apartment but their bodies were said to be in a state of advanced decay.
