Charlie Hebdo: 'They have weapons. We have champagne.'

French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo published a new edition Tuesday with a defiant front cover addressing the attacks in Paris.

The cover shows a man riddled with bullets quaffing an alcoholic drink. The headline reads: "They have weapons. (Expletive) them. We have champagne."

In January, Islamic extremists — apparently outraged over the paper's depiction of the prophet Mohammed — stormed the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo, killing 12, including several journalists.

Days after that attack, the paper published a new edition, with a front page cover depicting the prophet with a sign "Je suis Charlie," a phrase that became a popular way to show support for victims.

In a drawing shared on Instagram in the wake of the attacks last week, Joann Sfar, one of the weekly newspaper's cartoonists, thanked well wishers for praying for Paris, but added "we don't need more religion! Our faith goes to music! Kisses! Life! Champagne and Joy!"
