Rescuers find 26 children who were lost in Welsh mountains
LONDON — Rescuers found 26 schoolchildren who had gotten lost in a mountainous part of Wales, British media reported.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident in the Brecon Beacons at about 1 p.m. local time. The BBC said initially said 24 children were missing while The Telegraph put the number at 20.
A rescue helicopter spotted the missing teenagers, Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team member Andrew Evans told the BBC.
Some of the children might be suffering from hypothermia, The Telegraph reported.
