Pope Francis blessed a crowd awaiting his arrival in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City, after meeting with Vice President JD Vance and the Vatican's celebration of Easter Mass.

The 88-year-old pope sat in a raised chair in the popemobile, as tens of thousands of people lined the aisles inside the square and shouted "Viva il papa!" (Long live the pope, in Italian).
