Ravens' kicker Justin Tucker converts 66-yard field goal for win, NFL record
Justin Tucker, known as the NFL's most accurate kicker, broke the league record Sunday with a 66-yard field goal to give the Baltimore Ravens a 19-17 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Tucker broke the previous record set by Matt Prater in 2013, which was 64 yards.
Coincidentally, Prater missed a chance to set a recorded Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars when his 68-yard attempt fell short.

Despite several mistakes and losing an early lead, quarterback Lamar Jackson made the major play when he was needed. Jackson converted a fourth-and-19 on the final drive of the game to set Tucker up for the record. Tucker's game-winner bounced off the crossbar and through to history.
Earlier in the game, Tucker ended a 27 consecutive field goals on the road streak and missed a field goal indoors for the first time in his illustrious career.
Baltimore's victory wasn't without controversy. Former quarterback and current CBS analyst Boomer Esiason believed officials should have called delay-of-game on Jackson on the penultimate play.
"That should be delay of the game. I'm sorry. Right? If we're going by the clock," Esiason said on CBS. "That's delay of game. Guys, I'm sorry. That's delay of game. I don't want to take anything away from Justin Tucker. I don't want to take anything away from Lamar Jackson, who made that amazing throw at the end of the game to get them to that point. But to me ... You can clearly see that is longer than the one-second lull that (Bill Cowher) is talking about. To me, this looks like this flag should've been thrown.
If the referee had agreed with Esiason's assessment, the Ravens would have received a five-yard penalty which could have prevented Tucker's heroics. Fortunate for the Ravens, no call was made.
The Ravens improve to 2-1 while the home team Lions' failed comeback puts the team at 0-3 to start the season.
