Today's memory is from reader Jim Galloway of Sayreville: 

Willis Reed in the 1970 final against Los Angeles. I was 14 years old and he gave what he gave for the team with no thought about himself. His actual performance didn’t matter as much as the devotion to not giving in or giving up. So much more than inspiration and it lives so large in my memory.
