Coronavirus Watch: AstraZeneca may have used outdated information in trial


You know the new data that the AstraZeneca vaccine would prevent 79% of symptomatic cases of COVID-19 and 100% of all severe cases and hospitalizations?

Well, the findings may have been based on "outdated information," according to a statement from the federal government.

Today's numbers: The U.S. has over 29.89 million confirmed coronavirus cases and more than 543,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. The global totals: 123.9 million cases and 2.72 million deaths. More than 156.7 million vaccine doses have been distributed in the U.S. and 126.5 million have been administered, according to the CDC.
