Resources by Reviewed July 2
It's the Friday before a three-day weekend, Resources readers, and we bet your mind is already wandering to thoughts of road trips, barbecues and fireworks as we gear up for a Fourth of July that's closer to "normal," whatever that means these days.
We're ready for a day at the beach, and beach towns are overrun with people eager to get some fun in the sun after a socially distanced 2020. Because of the crowds, you might not be able to find your favorite supplies when you arrive at your destination. We've got you covered with our list of essentials to pack before you head to the shore, so you can spend more time in the sand and less at the concession stand.
Another image conjured at the mention of Independence Day is that of fireworks blasting across the night sky (or your TV, which if you think about it is kinda weird). Personally, I have always hated the loud booms and sizzles from these dazzling displays, so I can't even imagine what it's like for those poor dogs who freak out during these celebrations. If your pup is one who always struggles with fireworks, scroll down for our guide to keeping Fido calm during the onslaught.
We've also got a ton of sales this long weekend, so if you're in the market for a mattress or appliance, definitely check them out below.
Finally, I want to introduce you to Ashley Dean, who joined Reviewed this week as Newsletter Editor and Strategist. Ashley will be taking over Resources, and I'll let her introduce herself properly in the next issue. It's been a blast writing for you the past few weeks, and I look forward to reading Ashley's tips and tricks for finding the best stuff and making the most of what you already own.
As always, you can send suggestions, questions or bangin' beach playlists to request@reviewed.com. Have a great weekend, everybody! —Heather Muse, Director of Audience Development, Reviewed
