Way back in 2018, dear reader, I found myself in Utah in June. It was very hot and I might have been dehydrated, but I swear that while driving out of Salt Lake City, I saw a billboard that simply said: IT'S HOT AS HECK.

I think you could erect one of those in just about any city, town or hamlet in America right now. Where I live, the heat index could reach 115 in the next few days. That might even be hotter than heck.

This all to say that it's never too late to finally buy yourself a little pool. This inflatable pool from Amazon will only run you $47.99 and it comes with a little shade thing. Ignore the little voice in your head that says "I'm too old for this." You're never too old to stay cool. 

You're also never too old to eat a whole lot of ice cream. And to save yourself a million trips to the ice cream shop, just set yourself up with a Cuisinart ice cream maker. 

Pro-tip: You can eat your homemade ice cream while sitting in your inflatable pool. If you make a mess, you can just dump that water out and start fresh.
