New year, new goals (and the best ways to reach them)

Raise your hand if you’ve already given up your new year’s resolutions. Me too, reader. For those of you who have stuck to your goals, I’m impressed, frankly. But I forgot that I told myself I wasn’t going to drink soda and cracked open a cold one (a Coke Zero with a little bit of vanilla and lime) at approximately 6 p.m. on Jan. 3. We can’t all be perfect, y’know?

It’s not too late to set some new goals for yourself — let’s just make these a little easier to achieve. After all, no one’s expecting you to go from the couch to a marathon immediately.

First, a classic: cutting back on or cutting out alcohol. Our editors have some suggestions for non-alcoholic alternatives that are perfect to stick in your bag or enjoy at home. (A personal recommendation is Ghia’s Le Spritz.) Pair your non-alcoholic drink of choice with a healthy meal from one of our favorite meal kits for a Reviewed-approved dinner.

If you’re planning to hit the gym for the first time or just want to level-up your fitness routine, we’ve got some tips. Work out in style with some of our favorite workout and athleisure looks, and get gear that’ll help you reach your goals, like a new yoga mat. And take cardio, strength, yoga, and HIIT classes from your living room with an Obé Fitness membership, just $99 with the code MOVEMENT99.

If fitness goals aren’t quite your thing, let’s make some goals for your home instead. Save some cash by switching to energy-efficient options around your house. Clean out your attic or garage, and take inspiration from organizational icon Marie Kondo when you’re sorting through things.

You won’t see the results of your work immediately, and that’s OK. Keep working all year long with a few tips from Reviewed’s experts. And remember one thing: we’re rooting for you.

Happy new year, reader.
