Talking Tech: Facebook might owe you money

Welcome back, Talking Tech readers! Yes, it's Thursday, but because it's also April 20 (4/20) I suddenly have the urge to watch "Friday."

Now let's puff, puff, give you some tech headlines (promise that's the last 4/20 joke).

Here's something to like about Facebook: They might owe you money! 

Last month, a federal judge in California approved a $725 million settlement between Facebook parent company Meta and social media users who allege the platform left their data available to third parties without permission.

So what does that mean for you? If you used Facebook between May 2007 and December 2022 (which honestly might be all of us), then you could receive some cash.

You can mail out a printed form or file online to join the settlement.

McDonald's says it's going to make its burgers better. And not just the standard hamburgers and cheeseburgers, either. The fast food giant tells customers to expect upgrades to the double cheeseburger, the McDouble, and the Big Mac. The improvements include softer buns and a "juicier, caramelized flavor."
