Welcome to another Thursday, which means it's time for more Talking Tech. Here's a peek at this week's top tech headlines.

Step by step, inch by inch, we move closer (hopefully) to ditching passwords for good. They're a necessary evil. They help keep all our personal accounts protected. But with the number of online accounts many of us manage, trying to remember every password is a pain.

It's no wonder passwords like "123456" are still used, and we practice poor online hygiene by reusing passwords on multiple accounts.

Recently, Google announced plans to support passkeys for apps, using information such as face scans, fingerprints or a screen lock PIN to access your apps. Google claims the passkeys are more secure and resistant to online attacks.
