Talking Tech: It's almost iPhone season. What to know about next Apple phone
Happy Thursday, Talking Tech readers! It's August, and as a parent I am thrilled. Back to school time is approaching. Look, fellow parents, we all love our children, but summer needs to be over.
Let's move on to this week's big stories in tech.
Next month kicks off the big rush from tech companies, during which they unveil all the new gadgets coming for the holidays. And it starts with Apple.
In September, Apple is most likely going to introduce the next iPhone, and the rumor mill is already swirling. So what can we expect from the iPhone 15? According to reports, the latest iPhone will include a USB-C charger, larger screens and faster processing chips, and a titanium finish on the higher-end models.
The rumored USB-C change should not come as a surprise. Last October, Apple confirmed plans to comply with a European Union law requiring all mobile devices to support USB-C charging.
We will know for sure next month. Typically, Apple rolls out the new iPhone in September, along with the smartphone's next update, iOS 17. Stay tuned.
