The Daily Money: Halloween is out. Christmas is in. Mariah Carey's officially "defrosted".

Happy Thursday and the start of 24/7 holiday music in Chicago!
That's right. Thanksgiving, what's that?! But Mariah Carey is officially "defrosted," so let the holidays begin! I even saw a Christmas tree up and lit this morning on my run around Navy Pier.
I blame Amazon.com for fast-forwarding everything with its October Prime Day sale and early Black Friday deals, which traditionally have been the day after Thanksgiving but apparently, have moved up to now. Even Starbucks has gotten into the early holiday spirt, launching its holiday menu and cups today, a day later than rival Dunkin' Donuts.
If you have feelings about this early holiday start and shopping, we'd love to hear about it. Just click to complete our survey, and you'll even get a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card!
