2024's 'uncommitted' voters
The choice for president was no choice for some Pro-Palestine voters on Super Tuesday.
Some Americans chose to vote "uncommitted" over selecting former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden this week, signaling that pro-Palestine activism has caused pressure at the polls and threatened Biden's grip on a key sector of Democrats.
The "uncommitted" initiative was initially put together by various politicians and community organizers of Arab and Muslim descent in Michigan as an act of electoral protest against Biden's unconditional support of the Israeli military. But the movement caught on ahead of Super Tuesday, when Americans in 15 states and one territory voted in presidential primaries.
The "uncommitted" option failed to win any of the Super Tuesday races but was able to surpass other Democratic challengers in states, signaling the need for both campaigns to prioritize their approach to pro-Palestine voters.
