Inspiring women across America

Today is International Women's Day. This day is an opportunity to champion the female-identifying people in our lives and all they do for their communities.

Paste BN is observing the day by celebrating our annual Women of the Year honorees. Our journalists spent months finding women who are working to inspire and impact their communities on national and local levels.

The nominees can be found making a difference on camera, in the field, on the ballot and in the policy sector, driving the ideas that shape our world today and in the future. They include women such as director and actress Eva Longoria pushing for accurate portrayals of Latinos, and Nebraska’s Asheli Spivey who works to improve the lives of Black moms. We've asked them for their advice and their stories, and their message is one of inspiration, care and fortitude. Read their stories here and, well, maybe they'll inspire you as much as they did me.
